Nthato Moagi


Nthato Moagi was born and bred in the dusty streets of Soweto. As a self-proclaimed 'social engineer', Nthato is passionate about design, technology, innovation and most importantly, education. 

While completing his BSc Aeronautical Engineering degree at the University of the Witwatersrand, Nthato designed the LCERT (Low Cost Educational Robotics Toy). After graduating in 2014, he went on to work on missiles, drones, and other exciting technologies as an Engineer at Denel Dynamics. After hours, Nthato founded CRSP dsgn, in order to commercialise his LCERT invention for the South African market, as well as to design and develop social innovations that elevate Africa. 

In 2016, Nthato was selected as one of 150 of the Brightest Young Minds in Africa, and he went one to establish another social enterprise that has the aim to democratize education in Africa by enabling schools to share resources. In November 2016, Nthato presented a TED Talk on how more successful Africans need to become "Social Engineers" in order to create greater social impact on the continent.

Yoshlyn Naidoo


Yoshlyn Naidoo is an entrepreneur and mechanical design engineer in the aerospace and defence industry.

He completed his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of KwaZulu Natal in 2009, after which he conducted and published research on the application of drones for search and rescue missions. In 2012, he began his professional career at Denel Dynamics, where he is involved in the design and development of various innovative aerospace and defence related systems. 

He is passionate about technology; innovation and education and is an avid follower of advances in the automotive; computing and robotics industries. In 2015, Yoshlyn and his team were awarded the titles of Greatest Young System Engineers of the Year at the annual INCOSE GYSEOY Challenge for their innovative model-based problem solving and engineering skills.  

In 2016, Yoshlyn co-founded CRSP dsgn to pursue his dream of empowering every learner to achieve their dreams and take control of their futures.
